With the options of a 12 inch (firm) and a 13 inch (medium), Dreamfoam Copper offers an average mattress height. (The average mattress height being 8 to 12 inches.) The 12 inch mattress varies in weight starting at 40 pounds for a twin up to 100 pounds for a king. The 13 inch mattress starts at 50 pounds for a twin up to 110 pounds for a king. For the dimensions of each mattress size, please consult our information graphic here.

Both the firm and medium versions of Dreamfoam Copper helps to banish “sleeping hot” with a cool-to-the-touch top panel that is sewn in as a quilted top layer. This panel, made from phase change materials (PCM), draws heat away from your body to prevent overheating, and then releases heat as your body temperature lowers. This system works to let you sleep at the ideal skin temperature of 88 degrees.

For additional cooling support, the mattress is only made from foams featuring open cell technology. This promotes excellent airflow and breathability, allowing body heat to dissipate.

Made from luxurious latex-alternative foam, the 12 inch model offers a firm feel (an 8 out of 10 for firmness) and the 13 inch model offers a medium feel (a 5 out of 10 for firmness). Both models feature a premium smooth top weave panel, infused with copper-graphite to offer a cool nights sleep. A layer of memory foam offers body hugging comfort ideal for all sleep positions.

The main difference between the two models is in the memory foam layer. The 13 inch offers an inch more of memory foam and so also offers a little more contouring.

The mattress’s base of individually wrapped steel coils offers deep compression support while also offering great edge support from a reinforced perimeter of tightly wound coils.

Dreamfoam Copper is engineered to support as much as 950 pounds—a standard feature for all DreamFoam mattresses. However, if you are looking for a mattress built for a plus size sleeper (or a plus size partner), please consider our Titan mattress, found here.

Please note: the 12 inch model is a firmer mattress and offers a “sleep on top” feel.

Any mattress foundation with slats no more than 3 inches apart will work well with any DreamFoam mattress. While a mattress foundation is not necessary, please be sure that the mattress rests on a surface with minimal to no flex.

None of the DreamFoam mattresses should ever be flipped since they are all designed with a supportive base and topped with select comfort layers. Instead, we encourage you to rotate your mattress every 6 to 8 months for optimal comfort and sustained longevity.

We are confident that we are providing you with the very best bedding available. If for any reason, you decide that your mattress does not fit your needs, we ask that you first try the mattress for 30 nights from the date of delivery to properly adjust to the new mattress.
